I love how this pot came out… and it was actually so easy to make!
Jenny started off the pot, throwing it on our Small Pottery Wheel, and then she used some of her mini ribs from @garritytools to add texture to the outside.
Once it had become leatherhard, Kelsey came over and used her @tortugatools to refine and trim the edges
Somehow I got it back from America to the UK in one piece, and I used @amacobrent new Cosmos glazes to get this stunning blue crystallised effect on it.
lastly, I love using gold lustre especially with blue so added a few bands around the centre and top to give it that extra pop!
All in all, a great little piece and something really cool that you can try yourself at home!

The Garrity Tools' Garlic Plate tool was fine tuned to create ridges perfect for grating garlic 🧄
You can use the top of the tool to shape the lip of plates by pulling up the edges and adding smooth curves. The ridges on the bottom of the Garlic Plate Tool are designed for altering the face of the plate. Whether pressed onto clay on a spinning wheel or dragged across a slab, the depth and distance between each zig and zag was tested for peak garlic grating when you rub a clove over the texture created.
