Once upon a time, an architect who designed a theatre never imagined she would one day dress the stories performed inside it.
A year ago, I began working on the costume design for El Firmament by Lucy Kirkwood. Today, it premieres at Teatre Nacional de Catalunya in my city, Barcelona—and it feels like everything has quietly come full circle.
I have always believed that architecture is the mother of so many arts. It shapes space, but also imagination, movement, light, and now, for me, even fabric and character.
Five years ago, in a small coffee shop in New York, I met the person

Fa temps, una arquitecta que dissenyava un teatre mai es va imaginar que algun dia vestiria les històries que s’hi representaven.
Fa un any, vaig començar a treballar en el disseny del vestuari d’El Firmament de Lucy Kirkwood. Avui s’estrena al Teatre Nacional de Catalunya de la meva ciutat, Barcelona, i sembla que tot ha tornat a tancar el cercle silenciosament.
Sempre he cregut que l’arquitectura és la mare de tantes arts. Dona forma a l’espai, però també a la imaginació, al moviment, a la llum i ara, per a mi, fins i tot al teixit i al personatge.
Fa cinc anys, en una petita cafeteria de Nova York, vaig conèixer la persona que més tard m’obriria aquesta porta,
