Year 27
Which of God’s blessings can I deny?
What do i have that God has not given me?
Who can love me more than my maker?
My parents named me Oluwatunmise which translates to ‘God has renewed me’, or ‘God has repaired me’, or ‘God has reset me’. A few years ago, the weight of my name dawned on me strongly and I fell in love deeply with my name…
This past year, I have taken a lot of big steps. I have made mistakes that almost broke me, struggled with my faith and my feelings- cried, questioned and broken down but I have also laughed, met beautiful people, grown up. I have also learnt, unlearned and relearned- I’m a constant work in progress and I can’t wait to see the fullness of my greatness in manifestation.
This new year, I choose to love again - God, myself, that beautiful man God is sending me, my family & friends and everyone that comes across my path.
I choose to believe again- in God, myself, in the people who love me, in life itself.
I choose to enjoy life, to laugh loud, to dance even when I don’t do it so well. I choose peace - the peace of God that passes understanding. I choose to trust His plan, will and purpose for me.
I choose Jesus always and forever.
Thank you Jesus for year 27, you’ve gone ahead of me…

Some life update yes…
The Good:
- Still loving Jesus
- Still enjoying books (16 books read so far)
- Still have the best friends ever and opening up to new connections
- Still going at my own pace and learning to trust the process
- Still growing and expanding my baby (Gthb).
The Bad:
- Dealing with adult acne😭
- Dealing with getting no cuddles
- Dealing with the occasional worry but finally seeing and knowing that God is always good
- Dealing with not being able to travel on a whim. Olugbala, nigbawo?
- Dealing with falling sick and having to take care of yourself
The Ugly:
We don’t do that over here please. My Jesus don’t flop
All in all, God has been faithful these past 6 months

365 days later and it’s a new year for me…
Here are some things I realised even more this past year;
1. God is faithful, God sees me and no one would love me like He does so every other thing and person is a bonus.
2. Never to underestimate the gift of people in my life and treasure everyone around me.
3. Be ready for pain. Nerve-racking, heart-chilling pain- it’s the price. And there is always a price
4. Laugh. Don’t stop laughing
5. Giving can never be wrong
6. Last but not the least, nothing can stop what has been written about you. It may tarry but wait for it…
To another 365 days of God’s unending goodness, unquantifiable joy, peace, rest, growth and marvels 🥂
