From Galop's services, we know that public life is becoming less safe for LGBT+ people in the UK, especially for trans+ people. In the last reporting year, we saw a 27% increase in hate crime calls to our Helpline, but our hate crime Helpline work is currently underfunded. This #IDAHOBIT, could you help us support more LGBT+ people who have experienced abuse and violence by donating to Galop? The link is in our bio 💛
No one should have to face anti-LGBT+ hate alone. Your support helps us be here for LGBT+ people when they need us. Search galop.org.uk/donate or click the 'donate' link in our bio to make a difference.
And remember, Galop is here for anyone who experiences hate because of their sexual orientation and/or gender identity. If you've experienced or are worried about anti-LGBT+ abuse and violence, please get in touch. We're run by LGBT+ people, for LGBT+ people, and our Helpline is open Monday-Friday.

Domestic abuse can take many forms, and it can be difficult to recognise when someone close to you is being abusive.
55% of LGBT+ people in the UK have been subjected to domestic abuse by a family member, partner, or ex-partner, according to Galop's research with YouGov.
If you've experienced abuse or violence from family members or a partner or ex-partner, please know you're not alone. We're here, if and when you need us.

Remember, there's nothing wrong with being LGBT+. We don't need to be 'cured' or 'fixed'.

As another parliamentary session ends, another government fails on its commitment to #BanConversionPractices.
As a coalition, we are deeply disappointed that this legislation has been delayed once again.
Conversion practices continue to cause profound harm to LGBTQ+ community. There is no place for this abuse in the UK.
But our campaign continues – we will not let the Government drop this vital legislation.
While the Government have missed the deadline of the end of the session, we are pressing them to publish a draft Bill before Parliament next breaks for summer recess.
We remain determined and we won’t give up hope.
Tell us why this ban matters to you - your voice is more important than ever ▶️ link in bio.
Technology has the power to create places where freedom and connection can thrive. Digital spaces can be lifesaving for members of our community, but online spaces can also be used to target, harass, and abuse LGBT+ people.
Experiencing abuse and violence online can cause long-lasting harm. And it should always be taken seriously.
If you, or anyone you know, is experiencing tech abuse or online violence, we're here to help.
