A (belated) look at the past year of inking AMERICAN HISTORY: THE LATIN REMIX!
I don't want to spoil too much so early, but trust that as we get closer, we'll be showing more behind-the-scenes on bringing this book to life. Can't wait to share more on the process of taking @johnleguizamo and @yaytime 's script and fleshing it out from sketch to ink, with @wastedwings bringing it all together with breathtaking color!

THE SECRET IS OUT: I had the honor and joy to illustrate the graphic novel adaptation of @johnleguizamo 's "Latin History for Morons" stage-play for a middle-grade audience!
This time, we take a journey from Buddy's point-of-view as he navigates the trials of middle school while connecting with his Latin roots. It's a comedic yet honest look through the complex history of colonization, racism, and erasure of the lives and contributions of indigenous and Latin people of America and the Caribbean.
