Marking our first dedicated presentation of her practice, our latest online Viewing Room spotlights artist Krysia D. Michna-Nowak, who is also featured in our collection at the @affordableartfairuk Hampstead later this week.
Working primarily in monoprint and gouache on paper, Krysia combines expressive line with layered colour and texture, creating images that feel both intimate and dramatic.
Her works move between theatrical imagery and forms drawn from the natural world, each grounded in observation, imagination and a deeply intuitive process where figures gradually emerge within the composition.

To celebrate, we're spotlighting artist @tarawinona , whose practice is inspired by her lifelong love affair with nature and concern about our growing disconnection from the environment and each other.
These works are part of Tara’s ‘Love Letters to Nature’ series. She says, “I painted these animals and birds in the hope that, by looking into their eyes, people will suspend judgement and instead simply BE. It’s a moment of inner stillness with nature and to this extraordinary journey we are on called life.”
