🎨 Cher van Schouwen brings colour, courage and creativity to West Leederville
Our cover story by Editor Thomas Cook takes readers on a journey through the breathtaking Atherton Tablelands, a region rich with ancient rainforests, volcanic craters and untamed natural beauty. Among its many wonders is the dramatic Mt Hypipamee Crater, a landscape that has inspired artists, travellers and storytellers alike — including
@cherartwithvision , whose striking new painting of the crater now takes pride of place in her latest exhibition.
Her solo show, “Emergence,” opened over the weekend at
@Gallery 360, West Leederville, and has already drawn high praise from art lovers and locals. Running until 27 November 2025, the exhibition features more than 25 original works that celebrate colour, courage and connection — hallmarks of Cher’s distinctive style.
Known for her expressive portraits and luminous use of colour, Cher’s latest work marks a shift toward the Australian landscape, capturing its intensity and emotion with a fresh, modern sensibility. Beyond the canvas, the exhibition also supports Homeless Healthcare, with 100% of proceeds from opening night ticket sales going to help those in need.
