To the women who run companies and carpools, who close deals and read bedtime stories, who build businesses and build the next generation. Today we honor you 💜
Happy Mother’s Day!
Tonight marks the yahrtziet of Rav Shaya Ben Reb Moshe, of Keresztir aka: rav shayala or the mouse rabbi.
For those that do not know, you may have seen his picture outside construction sites. He has been known to help facilitate miracles. Some have dubbed him the “Csoda rabbi” the miracle rabbi.
For my family it’s a little more personal.
My mother and her family came from a neighboring town and once knew reb shayala.
My great aunt had a pair it earrings bentched by the rav himself which I personally always wear as a necklace daily.
We have gone back to daven at his kever even before it became a thing for Jews all over the world to do the same.
On an even more personal level, my parents and I have gone back every summer where we pour our hearts out. My father enjoyed being there so much. He would go every night to daven with a minyan there and put in a kvittel.
Tonight Totty, I hope you are personally meeting with rav shayala and davening for all of us from up above.
First Pesach without my father. It’s a hard day, actually a hard few weeks and months.
But today, I can’t stop crying.
Pesach was all about my father. He loved this chag so much. He would cut the noodles so thin, and prepare the best charoset. He always lead the Seder with his beautiful voice and his rendition of חד גדיה
In diff languages made us all smile. I was always and will always be his ein tzigele.
I miss my Totty beyond words. My heart has a hole, that I’m trying so hard to fill with something. So today I’m giving myself a virtual hug from you to me. Hug your loved ones tight and cherish the time.
Love you so much Totty ❤️

A new milestone, I’ve reached the next era:
Galit 5.0
Thank you hashem. Thank you hashem.
Life is speeding by, and this year was probably the hardest and the most exciting at the same time.
Losing my Totty physically, making a bar mitzvah for my son, having my father in law and family at my table and home, and marrying off my daughter to name a few.
Many new and firsts for me.
Happy happy birthday to me.
Hold and love your family tight. Give your parents the respect they deserve.
Appreciate and love your friends, and the ones that stay.
Cherish the moments, it’s fleeting.
