Jamboree 2026 Recap!
In a nutshell, a learning exercise!
The car rolled into the event with some changes since our last outing, so we weren't sure what to expect.
The event is split into 3 qualifying sessions, then straight into round eliminations - we missed out on our Q2 (didn't engage LC and cannot re-stage as per rules) and Q3 was dropped due to maintaining schedule. We entered round eliminations with no data of the day apart from our Q1 60ft test hit, and turned it up hoping it would stick, unfortunately we had some wheelspin until ~midtrack but stayed in it to at least get a full pass in for the day.
Either way, it was a great event, great experience, we'll be back in the future for more knowing how the event works and how we can better prepare for it.

Mason Legg’s MK7 GTI put on a masterclass at the Round 1 opener of the WA Group 3E Production Car Championship.
Running ProECU/TCU stock turbo software package - the exact same calibration we provide for daily driven street cars. The only difference? We dialed it to the class regulated maximum boost limit of 1.45 bar.
Mason made his intentions clear from the exit of pitlane.
Qualifying, straight to pole position.
Races 1 to 3, consecutive class wins and a new lap record.
Final result, outright round win.

Axel's MK7 GTI just reset the MK7 GTI World Record, clocking a 9.59 @ 153mph with his first and only pass on map 2 (up from the previous record of 9.77 @ 143mph).
Axel reached out to us seeking support on the calibration side, which quickly evolved into collective powertrain support. Working with Axel remotely, we dialled in the setup to get the car race-ready. After a couple of passes, here we are!

Axel has no plans on slowing down, and we've got some room on the powertrain to page it up a little more.

Underground Performance fitted the Galano proLPFP Twin Kit and proLPFP Controller Kit to Vini's car, upgrading from an RS3 Brushless solution, allowing for a higher fuel flow capability without compromising fuel pressure, which in turn allowed us to page up the boost!
Running on the ~limit of this Turbo Technics TTV6 (prototype) putting down an outstanding 450kW /760Nm of torque. The outright peak power number isn't what's impressive about this setup, but the monster torque curve, this would be one rapid setup in a point and shoot situation.
We can give it a little more in the midrange but prefer to keep the pressure drop across the turbine at a respectable level to avoid heat/pressure related issues.
What is a Galano proLPFP Twin Pump and Controller Kit?
It's our bespoke twin Walbro 535 fueling system that removes the factory fuel pump/control and limitations, featuring a billet design which focusses on delivering the fuel to the engine rail/s with minimal compromises on fuel pressure, paired with our controller kit which ensures the pumps are driven at their maximum potential.
No hobbs pressure switches, no sudden spikes in fuel pressure, no undue stress on the injectors from pressure impulses, no crazy fuel correction requirements, just pure performance that can be calibrated and controlled via the ECU, just the way it was designed to begin with.
This is the same fuel system that powered our 8 second drag car down the 1/4 in 2023.

Jamie's 75R built by the team at Underground Performance took the win at Calder Park DragRacing last night! This platform is just getting quicker and quicker!
We calibrated this recently but were struggling with wheelspin on the rollers so squared it up to the best of our ability ready for a session on a hub dyno. The wheelspin skews the graph by providing a false torque value, which doesn't sound so bad for the safety of a dyno run, but when you are trying to optimise the tune, we need to see the changes on a flash-by-flash basis to ensure we are heading in the right direction. Either way, the proof is in the pudding with its success at roll racing!

After replacing the gearbox with a DQ381 (the DQ250 finally let go) we finally got a chance to get 08SEC on the dyno for some calibration work!
This car had to have every aspect of his build unique, and the power figure too I suppose!
We decided to stop here at as we weren't quite happy with the performance of the stock location cooler, it is quite an old unit, so the team at @carbonautohaus are going to replace it for something a little more modern, it'll be interesting to see where we can get this when that goes in!
Another example of our proECU/TCU solution with every aspect of engine operation driven by the ECU, no external controllers or modules. Simply using our bespoke firmware. Features on this particular car are ECU based external wastegate control, motorsport launch control, rolling anti lag, full flex fuel control, ethanol content displayed on the dash and so much more.
