Some friends sometimes ask me what kind of photographer I actually am.
Honestly… I never really locked myself into one genre. I just enjoy shooting whatever looks interesting, fashion, portraits, architecture, beauty, still life, food, automotive… pretty much everything.
I guess it started with my very first job about 17 years ago. I was working as an in-house photographer at MRA Printed Media. Back then they had around 22 international lifestyle magazines, so there was always something different to shoot. Titles like Harper’s Bazaar, Bravacasa, Amica, Cosmopolitan, Mother & Baby, Esquire, FHM, Autocar, and a bunch of others.
Because of that, I had to be ready to shoot almost any kind of content those magazines needed. On most days I’d do two or three shoots. If you add it up, it was probably more than 700 shoots in a year.
That experience kinda shaped the way I see photography. It made me comfortable moving between different genres without overthinking it.
These days most of my work is in corporate and industrial photography, but that early phase of shooting a lot of different things really changed how I approach my work.
Without that period, I’d probably still be stuck talking about photography in purely technical terms instead of just enjoying the process of shooting.
Anyway, about this photoshoot. It was a session for
