Come join us today from 4:30- 5:30! QTBIPOC communities have always been deeply impacted by HIV and STIs, yet are often underrepresented in the clinical studies that shape prevention, treatment, and new sexual health advancements. Participating in research is a powerful way to ensure that these innovations are tested with us in mind and truly meet our needs. Historically, our communities have not been given equal or free access to life-saving medications and care. Engaging in these opportunities not only helps shape the future of sexual health, but also creates pathways for access, equity, and resources that our communities deserve. Come and learn about current studies and new studies the @pennmedicine_clinicalresearch are doing and how you can be involved. Refreshments will be provided! Opportunities for paid clinical trials! 13+ Wednesday, April 22nd 4:30pm to 6:30pm GALAEI, 118 Fontain street Philadelphia, PA 19122

Join us at Galaei for an evening of reading, writing, and Black Trans lovin’— a celebration of trans life by remembering ourselves. On Trans Day of Visibility, Dr. Kai Marshall Green — Assistant Professor of Africana Studies at The University of Delaware, founding member of BYP100, and debut memoirist — brings A Body Made Home: They Black Trans Love (The Feminist Press, 2026) home to Philadelphia for an intimate workshop and book reading hosted by Galaei, Philadelphia’s QTBIPOC radical social justice organization. We remember trans lives by insisting on the fullness of trans living. This evening holds both grief and joy, mourning and making. Drawing on the memoir’s dedication, an excerpt from Chapter 1, and the epilogue, this workshop asks: What does the body know how to be? How has language shaped — and policed — the shape of your becoming? What does it mean to write toward someone you love? Guided by James Baldwin’s conviction that the artist and the lover share the same work — making the unseen visible — this evening weaves reading with writing prompts, film clips from the A Body Made Home film series, and space to share. Black trans participants are at the center. Everyone is welcome. Come ready to write. Come as you are. Tuesday, March 31 | 6:30–9:00 PM Galaei | Philadelphia, PA Free and open to the community - Refreshments Provided
