this song came to me late one night as I was leaving a very unproductive studio session. I had got shit from my boss at work that day and was in the middle of a spat at home, as I was locking the door, feeling pretty vacant, I shook my head and thought to myself “man, lately I’ve been lacking inspiration” — as soon as those words filtered through my head I opened the door back up and wrote the rest in about 15 minutes. Sometimes you get lucky.
this song pushed me in a lot of ways, to be more direct lyrically and branch out into some new sonic territories I’m still exploring — thank you to all the friends and ears that helped make this happen
