Thank you @smoosicals for trusting me with the most unhinged role I had the chance to play till now: the voice of Audrey 2 in "Little Shop of Horrors"!
Amazing production team, insanely talented cast, wonderful crew & band! I played a coughing wino, an acolyte of dental pain, and a monster alien from space - and it was a wholesome experience from start till end.
Special shoutout to the puppeteers Oscar and Céline, and of course the creator of those gorgeous monster puppets, @cat_harris_fx ! Without you, Audrey 2 would just be an inanimate object 😭

✨ MEET THE CREATIVE TEAM ✨
From 🇱🇺 & 🇵🇹, Gabriel Pinto Monteiro came to Brussels to study film directing at IAD (Institut des arts de diffusion) in Louvain-la-Neuve, after which he wrote and directed several short films, including “Elena” and “In the Weeds”. His need for community brought him first to the artists’ collective “Richtung 22” in Luxembourg, with whom he has worked on multiple satire films and theater projects. But Gabriel felt the need to dedicate time to his favorite genre, musicals. 🎭
Gabriel was one of two lead book writers 📝 for Knocked. He also wrote music and lyrics, created the on-stage projections 🎞️ and is co-directing the show!

✨MEET THE CAST✨
Born in Luxembourg into a Portuguese immigrant family, Gabriel got very early into music, inspired by his mother’s love for pop divas and French musicals. He started by singing in choirs and playing the flute, until he picked up the electric guitar and got into a rock band. Gabriel put music on hold as he came to Brussels to study film, but recently rekindled his love for performing. He took an intensive year of singing courses at AICOM’s Brussels campus to prepare himself as a musical performer. “Knocked” marks his debut on stage.

Pablo the Monstera here! A big THANK YOU to everyone that came to the 2 screenings yesterday! I was also given the opportunity to give a little speech, as you can see - and it warmed my evergreen foliage to hear all your laughs during the film 🪴💚
