I read tarot cards. This is my artistic interpretation of the first card in the deck, the unnumbered card (0), The Fool. Inspired by the original Rider-Waite imagery & Dr. Seuss.
I love tarot for many reasons. I love how the cards give us permission to be objective about ourselves, how they serve as a mirror. I love how relatable the cards are, and I love how personal an interpretation can be. Tarot, in a way, is an embodiment tool. These archetypes and themes can be felt and experienced in our bodies and hearts.
What does The Fool feel like?
This is one of my very favorites. The Fool, to me, represents total naivety. Bindle in one hand, white rose in another, he approaches a new adventure with complete innocence and purity of heart. And although he is easily cheated, by the worlds standards, he can never lose. He’s setting out on an adventure with absolute trust, and for that he has unequivocal support and protection from the Divine. He reminds me to not let my “knowing” get in the way.

@mindyg33 , one of my longest and dearest friends, asked me to make cards for her friends Jacqui, Shannon & Julia who are teachers & therapists. She wanted to acknowledge and encourage these wonderful, badass women as they work tirelessly to care for students under new and intense circumstances.
I’ve known these three for many years, and knowing they are out there influencing and guiding the next generation of little humans makes me incredibly encouraged about the future. Lots of love and gratitude, thank you teachers & friends! 💕
