The #Artship finally took off in Stockholm!
Thirteen years after the initial idea. Nine years after @g.estern and @milo.mi.milo painted the banner, after many other attempts and four days of waiting for the wind to calm down, Oscar Lindström finally piloted the ship into the air on Sunday evening, 17 May.

Der Tanz in den Mai begann mit dem wunderbaren Konzert #vieract im @Kunsthafen . Vier Konzerte eigentlich, von der wunderbaren iranisch/deutschen Singer/Songwriterin @nadia.sheya zu dem energetisch chaotischen Rapp/Rock/Pop crossover von @rap_zeppelin über zu treibendem Punk von @tulips.band um dann mit tripphoppigen Sound von @thebottomline.earth in den Mai zu grooven. Danke an @g.estern für die Idee, @nadine_kiala_ig für Place und Energy und allen Helfern für den tollen Start in die Mainnacht.

Zeppelin is happening! Painted in 2017, the Artship is finally taking off.
It was supposed to be a father-and-son project. My dad, Tino ‚Mucky‘ Busemeyer, was an airship engineer and pilot, and we planned to start it in 2023. Then, my father passed away. I was heartbroken. I had lost my dad, and my biggest project didn’t seem to matter anymore. I hid from the world for two years, fighting the world on a chess board every day for lots of hours. The airship waited in a trailer, dormant. The trailer was overgrown with moss.
Now I’ve found a pilot who will restore it a bit and fly it in Stockholm. I couldn’t be happier.
After 9 years, it seems like the Artship is finally happening. I painted walls, I painted trains, but how about a 42-meter Zeppelin flying over a city? It’s hard to comprehend that it seems to actually work out now.
We will fly the Airship in Stockholm, together at the end of May. He’s a pilot instructor, so… you might have an Idea what cold happen next. // #airship

„Ich hatte schon länger das Gefühl, mal wieder etwas Neues anstellen zu müssen. Im Winter ist bei mir oft so eine Lücke, in der sich niemand meldet, um Wände angemalt zu bekommen, und ich bin in der privilegierten Position, einfach mal ein paar Wochen rumzustreunern.
Dann erzählte @Noraroggausch , dass sie ihren Moogie Boo Kastenwagen abgeben möchte, und ich nutze die Gelegenheit, loszufahren.
Frankreich – Spanien – Marokko – Westsahara – Mauretanien – Senegal. So der Plan. Mal sehen, was wirklich passiert, ich werde berichten.
Einige Zeit habe ich versucht eine:n Reisebuddy zu finden was irgendwie mit dem Zeitfenster nicht klappte, also beschloss ich es allein zu machen. Zum Glück treffe ich bis Süd-Spanien alle paarhundert Kilometer Freund:innen, so das der Anfang gemeinsam passiert.
Dann kam die Idee, vorher noch Fotos davon zu machen. Stephan & Jo waren unmittelbar dabei und zu dritt machten wir diese Session auf dem Parkplatz (oder zu viert mit Moogie).
Ich packe meinen Kofferwagen und nehme mit: Nichts, was ich nicht auch auf dem Weg verschenken kann. Vielleicht verkaufe ich das Auto irgendwo in der Ferne und reise nur mit Rucksack zurück.
Es bleibt spannend.“
