🍬Music just got a lot more playful 🍬 We teamed up with @candycrushsaga , @lifeatking , @pablolondoncreative , and Grammy-winning artist @thundercatmusic to flip music, film, and gaming ‘Upside Down’ - creating the world’s first playable live-action music video. 🪩 Directed by @fxgoby , this candy-coated collaboration brings Diana Ross’s disco classic to life in a pink-hued world where every swipe moves the story forward. Inspired by the classic match-3 gameplay mechanic, the experience is unmistakably Candy Crush. The production brought together charismatic actors, iconic choreography, hundreds of extras, wigs, animals, explosive practical builds, seamlessly blended VFX, and interactive design to bring together the worlds of music and gaming. 🏆 Annie Award Nomination! 🏆 We’re over the moon to share that director @fxgoby ’s ‘Welcome to the City of Love’ has been nominated for an Annie Award in the Best Sponsored category! @theannieawards represent the best of what the industry produces each year, winners will be announced on February 8th 🤞 The film beautifully parallels the romance of love with the passion athletes have for their sports. With the opening ceremony just days away, we’re thrilled to share the trailer for BBC’s coverage of the 2024 Summer Olympic Games, directed by @fxgoby and brought to life by the Nexus Studios dream team. A massive thank you to @bbccreative and @bbcsport 💛 Embracing Paris’ reputation as the City of Love, Fx artfully explores the romance between athletes and their sports. The exquisite 2D animation foregoes traditional outlines, instead using light and shadow to suggest volume, effectively recreating each illustration 25 frames per second. “This film epitomises craftsmanship. Achieving its elegant final design required hundreds of hours, meticulously refining or removing anything unnecessary in compositing, frame by frame, to preserve the essence of the original designs.” - Director, Fx Goby.

Nexus Studios’ Director @fxgoby kicks off the BBC’s Paris 2024 Olympic Games coverage with a timeless 2D animated film, transporting the audience to the City of Love. Fx created a warm, illustrative feel drawing a close parallel between romantic love and the passion athletes feel for their sports.  With 58 shots and 36 athletes packed into 60 seconds, the expertly crafted film is as dynamic as it is moving. Using expert transitions and tight pacing, the film ramps up to its climactic finale - a kiss - because no love story is complete without one.
