I had a blast sharing this hot tip with experienced foam runners and those new to foam latex at The Prosthetics Event. Behold my main foam latex oven! A wallpaper steamer and a water butt. That's all you need. The dirty old shower curtain acts as a gasket. Larger moulds might just be wrapped in a tarpaulin and cooked with two steamers. ....Smaller ones cooked in a vegetable steamer. I came up with this process after reading Tom Mclaughlin talking about autoclaves in Cinefex. 20 years, Ive been cooking foam this way!

Finally got one of my guns “Immortalised” forever in chrome, by my man @fx.smith he did the casting back in November 2017, he’s a very busy man, doing films like Batman, Harry Potter and Mrs Doubtfire to mention a few, but finally got down to finishing the arm and delivered it to me last week. * * * @fx.smith #immortalised #chrome #guns #arm #casting #films #superhero #body

Michael Crawford in the first iteration of Fosco. Prosthetic sculpted and moulded by Stuart Curran @sturcurran for Robert Allsopp & Associates @robertallsoppandassociates who made the fat suit. I ran foam and applied test makeups. This was the gig where I pushed my foam running skills to the limit. 12 volume super soft foam. There were 3 moulds (made by Stu Curran) and I'd get 1 or 2 good pieces out of every run. Worth the trouble though, as Michael said "I don't even know I'm wearing it" .

20 years ago! Applying the foam latex prosthetic with Anette Ollerearnshaw. I was unsure about edge placement on this piece, but it worked very well. #foamlatexsiliconeprosthetics #prosthetics #stagemakeup #foamlatex

Elektra at The Duke Of York's Theatre. Brie Larson and Stockard Channing currently getting splatted every night with my black blood/paint. Don't ask me what it's all about, but it washes out beautifully! 😎 #fakeblood #siliconeflowblood #wardrobe #costume #stageblood #washablepaint

Fangs for the memories. 1992 The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles. I made a few different prosthetic pieces for various episodes (sculpted/moulded/ran foam). I have been digging out old pics and found this. Nosferatu style fangs I made for the lovely gentleman that was Bob Peck. He'd just finished filming Jurassic Park and had a small wound on his forehead from a Velociraptor bite! He personally sent me the set photos with a handwritten note. Class act and sadly taken way too soon. #prosthetics #fangs #nosferatu #indianajones #makeupartist #bobpeck
