🎉It’s Friend Friday and this week we’re so excited to introduce and thank our new friends at Deli on Main! 💛 Hi! We’re @delionmainstreet a traditional New York-style neighborhood deli located right in the heart of Downtown Fuquay-Varina - 604 N Main St. The business is owned by two families — Joe and Diane, and Doug and Michelle. Three of us grew up on Long Island, while Michelle is from the Cary area, and both families met right here in Fuquay, making this business feel even more connected to the community we now call home. We opened in January 2026 and already feel incredibly welcomed by the community. Our goal was to bring authentic New York deli favorites to town while still keeping that warm Southern hospitality Fuquay-Varina is known for, all in a welcoming place where people can experience good food and a friendly hello! We serve hot and cold deli classics, from breakfast sandwiches and heroes to desserts, lunch & dinner options, family meal deals, grab-and-go favorites, and cater for everything from office lunches to large events and family gatherings. Our building has history too! It was previously home to Milano’s — a spot many locals already know and love. We’re proud to continue serving the community in such a familiar downtown location. For us, a great day Downtown is seeing familiar faces walk through the door, meeting new customers, serving great food, and watching people enjoy time together. Whether someone is grabbing breakfast before work, stopping in for lunch, picking up dinner for the family, or treating themselves to dessert, we love being part of their day. We also love Downtown events because they bring the community together and encourage people to slow down, explore, and support local businesses. That’s one of the many reasons we wanted to become Friends of FVDA. We believe in supporting Downtown Fuquay-Varina, being a part of the community’s growth. Hi, I’m Justin Crawford, Owner/Operator of @greenhomesolutionsraleigh , located at 131 N. Fuquay Ave right here in Fuquay-Varina. I’ve loved living in Fuquay-Varina since 2005. I’m an NC State grad and a lifelong Buckeyes fan. After years in the corporate world, I hit a point of burnout and decided to pursue entrepreneurship. In early 2020, I took the leap and launched Green Home Solutions—right at the start of COVID. While unexpected, it reinforced just how important indoor air quality is, and we’ve been helping customers create healthier living environments ever since. We specialize in indoor air quality solutions using plant-based, people- and planet-friendly products. One thing I’m especially proud of is the level of expertise within our franchise—we have access to hundreds of years of combined industry experience, so we’re always able to find the right solution. A fun fact about our location—our warehouse sits in an area that will eventually be redeveloped near Town Hall, so one day it may be a parking deck! A good day in Downtown Fuquay-Varina is any day downtown with friends and family, supporting local businesses, and enjoying everything from the social district to the concert series. My kids love riding their scooters around downtown. As a big food fan, my favorite events have to be BBQ Blues & Brews and the Chili Cook-Off & Car Show. Being part of FVDA means a lot to me. I walked into the office one day asking how I could get involved, and they welcomed me right away. That moment led to me getting involved in planning events and building strong connections within this incredible community. We have an amazing community here in Fuquay-Varina and I firmly feel that Downtown is the heart of it all. ✨ It’s Friend Friday and this week we’re so happy to introduce and thank our friends over at Fuquay Spice and Tea—Rachel and Jason Strahler! ✨ Hi, we’re Rachel and Jason, the owners of @fuquayspiceandtea , located at 503 Broad Street. We opened our doors in 2021 and have been here ever since, and this October we’ll be celebrating 5 years in Fuquay-Varina! Rachel is a licensed esthetician and Jason is a licensed massage therapist and personal trainer. Before opening the shop we owned a spa and personal training studio, but about a year in, we decided to go all in on Fuquay Spice and Tea—and we haven’t looked back since. At our shop, we offer loose leaf teas, spices, spice blends, herbs, oils, vinegars, and a variety of other items we love. One fun fact—we have the largest selection of loose leaf teas and herbs in a single retail location in the USA! We’re also proud to be a certified NC destination business. A perfect day for us in Downtown includes lunch at Nil’s or Little Portugal, browsing at Sur Furniture or Guardian Angel, and a mid-afternoon coffee and pastry from Stickboy or a visit to Track Record Vinyl Shop & Listening Lounge. And if there’s a special event coming up, we'll stop in at Ashworth’s for a new suit. Our favorite Downtown event has to be the Chili Cook-Off & Car Show.
