Wahhhhhh. @astrodicticum und ich haben den Preis der Österreichischen Forschungsgemeinschaft für Wissenschaftsjournalismus 2026 für unseren Podcast "Das Klima" gewonnen. Ausgezeichnet worden sind unsere Folgen über den Zweiten Österreichischen Sachstandsbericht zum Klimawandel. Wir freuen uns sehr über den Preis. Noch mehr freuen würden wir uns, wenn sich die Erkenntnisse aus der Klimaforschung auch in der Klimapolitik wiederfinden würden. #sciencecommunication
The #Queerbrarians Summer Reading Challenge #QSRC in its Banned Books edition is done. I read 18 books banned in the U.S., according to lists compiled by @penamerica . 5 bingos is way more than I expected but all the books were special and interesting. As I read, I thought about why the books might be banned and whether I agreed that they shouldn't be accessible in school and/or public libraries. No, not really. They aren't all easy but all of them spark empathy and there's something to learn. We'll reflect and present the Challenge at a conference on Banned Books in February.
