The Athenians Fuzzing Nation belong to the old school of stoner rock, with thick and rough riffs, rich in fuzz, punchy, and a lively cadence that recalls the heavier moments of Kyuss, with beautiful swirling solos that unleash the acid and psychedelic leanings of the Nostrini in a whirl of effects (Burning Roads).
The band don’t reinvent anything, but they craft instantly catchy songs that know how to grab attention because they are powerful, fast, and packed with the right dose of groove: small anthems to be played at full volume while driving down a dusty highway (the title track, I Don’t Believe, with a touch of retro punk grit, The Core Machine).
There is excellent use of fuzz and wah wah, especially in the solos, which help create that opiate and expansive atmosphere of true desert rock (The Open Wound). Alongside the more forceful tracks there are also immediate, narcoleptic raga-like passages that add variety (Dead Old Tree, Turn The Key) and build the right slow and hypnotic atmosphere.
Every now and then they play with a bit of rough-edged irony (I Don’t Care At All), and overall they are appreciated for their genuine and authentic spirit.

Formed in late 2022 in Athens, Greece, the band brings together three experienced musicians from the Greek metal scene: Angel Ioannidis (vocals, guitar) and Steve Giannakos (bass), both known from Sorrows Path, alongside Terry Moros (drums), former member of Crystal Clear and InnerWish. What began as a spontaneous studio jam quickly evolved into a powerful heavy rock trio built on fuzz-drenched riffs, hypnotic grooves and explosive rhythmic energy. Drawing influence from the desert rock legacy of Kyuss, Fu Manchu and the spirit of early Palm Desert sound, Fuzzing Nation forged riffs perfect for open roads and endless horizons.
Their self‑titled debut EP “Fuzzing Nation” was recorded live in the studio, capturing the band’s raw power and spontaneity. The release quickly gained attention in the underground heavy rock scene both in Greece and abroad.
The follow‑up EP “Into The Desert” marked a more refined and atmospheric step forward. With stronger arrangements and broader sonic scope, the EP was praised by critics and received a strong 8/10 review from Metal Hammer Greece, confirming the band’s rising presence in the scene.
In 2026, Fuzzing Nation enter a new chapter with the release of their debut full‑length album “Mothertruck”, alongside their official signing with Octopus Rising, the dynamic imprint of Argonauta Records.
“Mothertruck” is a concept album built around a mythic desert chase - a journey in search of a legend, with the outcome revealed only in the final track. Across ten songs, the record blends massive fuzz‑driven riffs, hypnotic desert grooves and cinematic atmosphere, pushing the band’s sound further than ever before.
With a growing international audience, a powerful live presence and an international record label behind them, Fuzzing Nation continue their ride through the global heavy rock landscape.
