Shattered Glass is Daniel Son’s full interpretation of my project Soundwave.
What started as a simple idea quickly turned into something else. One song became many, and at that point it was clear there was a real body of work forming. We made the project official.
Daniel took the foundation of Soundwave and approached it in his own way, building on the energy of the beats and pushing it into something new. The result is a project that feels raw and unpredictable, but still intentional. The transitions, the pacing, the way each track bleeds into the next is chaotic in the best way possible, but it never loses direction.
The artwork above is the official cover for Shattered Glass, put together by yours truly. I wanted it to feel directly connected to Soundwave, so I kept the visual language consistent. The concept for the cover was inspired by Harvey Dentist’s alternate cassette artwork from the original Soundwave release. Building on that idea, I took a photo of the Soundwave LEGO figure transformed into a cassette player tying back into the original aesthetic while giving this project its own identity.
The single “Lil Earl” is now streaming everywhere along with the pre save to the album
