I'm just going to say that Greencastle of Woodlawn II is on my top energetic senior facility ever, it is. Ms. Mae Sharkey is 80 years old and has been at this facility for 38 yeara, and she was running circles around me. Teri is the line dancing Queen & the life of the party. Greencastle of Woodlawn I said they wanted to be #2.

Our 2026 Honoring Her: A Celebration of Care & Comfort initiative has officially reached full capacity for Mother’s Day Gift Bag distributions across Chicago — and what a powerful journey this has been.
From senior mothers and grandmothers… to shelter residents, caregivers, teachers, community leaders, and women who continue to pour into others even while carrying their own burdens — this initiative was created to remind them of one thing:
✨ They are seen.
✨ They are valued.
✨ They are deeply loved.
Honoring Her is extraordinary because the women who poured into us are extraordinary.
The women who prayed for us, sacrificed for us, protected us, nurtured us, taught us, encouraged us, and loved us through life’s hardest moments deserve to be celebrated loudly and intentionally.
What started years ago as a small act of love has now grown into a citywide movement of compassion, dignity, service, and community care. Watching this scale to 1,928 women this year is nothing short of God’s grace in motion.
This is restoration.
This is visibility.
This is community.
This is LOVE in action. 💐
