Young musicians from low‑income backgrounds can apply from today for programmes beginning in September 2026.
This year we’ve made an important change: our awards now run for two years, giving each young musician more time and support to grow.
Future Talent offers masterclasses with leading artists, workshops to explore new skills, mentoring from industry professionals and unique performance opportunities alongside funding to aid with musical expenses.
If you're a young musician from a low-income background who needs this support to harness your potential, don't miss this chance to apply!

Applications for Future Talent's programmes for young musicians from low-income backgrounds open on Wednesday 25th February 2026, for programmes commencing in September 2026.
And this year we've made some changes - our awards will be moving from one year of support, to two!

🎉 So proud to share this special moment for our young musician Ahmed from SAA-uk Music Academy, who recently performed at the Royal Albert Hall as a guest musician at the Buckinghamshire Music Trust event, alongside children from 52 schools.
Ahmed was the solo tabla artist, and the piece began and ended with him. Despite the scale of the occasion, he stayed calm, confident, and played beautifully.
A special milestone for Ahmed — even having his own dressing room on the day. This moment reflects his growth as a musician and the care, belief, and dedication behind him at SAA-uk Music Academy.
A proud moment for his family, teachers, and everyone supporting his journey. 🙏🏼💫
