Vitamin A and zinc are absolute musts for healthy skin, rosehips are natural energy stores and contain high concentrations of both. They are traditionally used in skincare for their scar-healing and restorative properties, and work in a similar - but much more gentle! - way to retinols.
La Lune contains a concentrated rosehip Co2 extract, which contains whole plant compounds and is many times more effective than oil, which is made by simply pressing the seeds. The rosehips I use are from Rosa cana, the dog rose, our most common UK native rose. She is a wild hedge rambler with abundant scarlet hips. 💃

I am increasingly obsessed with tarot; I've always loved the iconography, and I'm enjoying getting to know it in its oldest incarnation, the Tarot de Marseille. I chose to base my design for Futureproof on the Tarot as it spoke to my personal attempt to navigate the uncertainties of ageing, burnout, and climate anxiety.
Few things in life that are truly in my control, but that's OK; where I can I make positive choices - all my packaging is 100% recycled ♻️ (not just recyclable - that's a WORLD of difference) and my ingredients are 98% upcycled (for example olive squalane, the skin barrier miracle, is created from a by-product of the olive oil industry).

Since early spring, I've been working flat out in my day job; now I finally have some time to get back to formulating, dreaming, drawing, and thinking. Deep, dark winter is the perfect time for this work. Today, I've been staring at the sky, watching where the snow comes from, and marvelling. This time of year embodies the energy of The Moon tarot card for me - a time to look inside, be still, find strength, and prepare for the rejuvenation of spring.
