If you’ve seen the Stoor or Circle of Live performances on Youtube it’s similar to that. A group of performers create music that exists only in the moment, posting ideas into the mix for the other musicians to play off of.
Generally it will land in the minimal techno space. We plan to ask a mixed group (style-wise) to join each month but the format lends itself to techno.
As a collaborative salon, the intent is to create a space for people to talk about art or ideas, start projects or generally feel like part of something.
We're considering this a soft launch while we figure out how it works.
We're trying something new while folks are away at DEMF. The hardest part of new events is coming up with a name. We already ruled out SFEMF, and SFTOOR (hint) as well. Stay tuned for details.
