In your recent work and exhibitions, is there an idea or theme you feel has become more urgent or unavoidable in the last few years? In the last few years, the theme that’s become unavoidable for me is how quickly power can hollow out our humanity—and what, if anything, can put it back. In 2018, Blood and Soil was a response to the rise of authoritarianism. In 2020, Hysteria focused on bad actors and media systems that capture attention, manufacture fear, and turn people against one another. In 2023, Cruelty pushed further into cultural power—revenge, the energies between leaders and the public, and how that relationship fuels violence. And in 2024, Animals of the Night went to the bottom of it: a place where society has fallen away and what’s left is the most primal part of us—base drives, impulse, and a kind of darkness that isn’t “out there,” but inside all of us. What feels urgent now is what comes after that descent. Not the aesthetics of optimism or change, but a deep form of spiritual hope and revolution—something that has to be conjured from inside the individual. A humble, personal decision to reject the sickness around us, to stop trading away values just to survive inside systems of chaos and exploitation. I don’t mean a loud revolution. I mean a quiet internal one—people getting tired of the compromise and choosing a better world within themselves first, and letting that refusal become its own resistance. I think we’re approaching that shift because the capacity for evil and the capacity for good exist in the same place—and it feels like evil has had its time. — Cleon Peterson Artist, Los Angeles @cleonpeterson #cleonpeterson #onequestionbyfm #futurememorynow #onequestionbyfuturememory

Thank you all for the love and for making the last 3 days a great experience! SuperBlast “Empty Shelves of Memories“ exhibition May 2–4, 2025, Torstrasse 140, 10119 Berlin Empty shelves of memories Waiting to be filled now Reflection of the self From the darkness To the light and In between For ever Born To contemplate memory is to tread a labyrinth where absence is more tangible than presence. SuperBlast presents us with empty shelves — not as barren spaces, but as silent witnesses to the ceaseless labor of meaning-making. These shelves, these voids, yearn to be filled, not with objects alone, but with echoes of selves both remembered and forgotten. The artist leads us through a pilgrimage from darkness to light, and through that uncertain region in between, where identity is neither fixed nor fully knowable. Memory, like art, is never complete; it is forever born anew, waiting, aching, offering itself as both mirror and mystery. Thus, in these works, the viewer is not merely an observer but a participant: called upon to bring their own memories, their own reflections, to the silent architecture of forgetting and becoming. „The Death Of Fear“ — In the dust-laden air of an abandoned factory in Pyrgos Ilias, under the merciless brightness of a Mediterranean July, SuperBlast paints not merely walls but the very memory of a place. Pyrgos, the soil of his ancestors, speaks through cracks in concrete and rusted beams; it becomes both sanctuary and stage. The murals that emerge are less images than allegories: a candle whose flame resists the void, a vessel of water whose presence denies death. In these signs we perceive the grammar of survival, the vocabulary of what is sacred: fire to persist, water to endure. In the artist’s terms, the factory is a palimpsest — an industrial ruin overwritten by ritual symbols. What was once a temple of labor is now reconfigured as a chapel of resilience. Here, the painter is less artisan than semiotician: he inscribes onto the walls not decoration, but the codes of necessity, the fragile guardians of existence.
