In light of the recently adopted Freetown Charter, a regional ECOWAS health framework that aims to accelerate the reduction of maternal, newborn, and child mortality using technology, data-driven approaches and strong regional collaboration, we highlight Sierra Leone's 300 Days of Activism. A national commitment to end preventable maternal and child death in Sierra Leone.
Launched by
@presidentjuliusmaadabio , the “300 Days of Activism” is a bold, time-bound commitment to strengthen accountability, close gaps in care, and deliver timely, life‑saving services for every mother and every child.
At the heart of this effort is PReSTrack, a powerful platform developed by the
@dstisierraleone in collaboration with the Ministry of Health of Sierra Leone, enabling real-time tracking of pregnancies, early identification of high-risk cases, and faster referrals for critical care. It is shifting the system from reactive to proactive and saving lives.
In March,
@profosinbajo and the Future Perspectives team were on the ground in Sierra Leone, engaging leadership, including Minister of Health
@austinh.demby , visiting frontline health facilities and the National Health Innovation Hub to see firsthand how data and accountability are driving change across the system.
This is what transformation looks like: data in action, systems that respond, and leadership that delivers.
At Future Perspectives, we are proud to support this momentum, advancing innovative, multi-sectoral financing and implementation approaches to help Sierra Leone scale what works and sustain impact.
The pathway is clear. The commitment is real. Now is the time to scale.
