Well that's it the acts are booked, the workshops and activities are ready, the parade is planned, the food tasting menu is finalised and the sun is supposed to be shining this Saturday

Join us for the parade outside the Derby Inn at 11.15am, setting off 11.30am
Then onto the town hall where live music, activities and workshops will commence from 12pm
Free international food tasting 1pm til 2.30pm

What an amazing evening for our Young Leaders presentation evening. Thank you to all of you that joined us
12 weeks of learning leadership skills, with the additional thinking around what leadership looks like in a Diverse World
Taking their learning to create a social action project on the things that matter to people in their community, the BIG project was established (Barrow Inclusivity Group)
They brought solutions as well as raising gaps and issues, and they delivered with confidence and passion for the subject
I could not have asked anymore of them. Their growth has been a thing of beauty, and im extremely proud. I can't wait to see what they do next
Big thanks to The Bridge for hosting us this evening, to Brathay Trust for our residential, Furness Connect Hub for letting us use their space for project delivery, Westmorland and Furness Council for funding the project, and finally to Nick Barlow who was my amazing co-deliverer for the past 12 weeks

I’m excited to start as the Youth & Community Lead at Furness Multicultural Community Forum. I have a background in nursing, arts & youth work. I come from Manchester. I met Janine whilst performing at the Unity festival last year.
