Therapist, Blessing CEO (Okoro Blessing Nkiruka) Over Alleged N36 Million Fraud in Lagos The Lagos Zonal Directorate 1 of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Friday, May 15, 2026, arraigned social media influencer and self-styled relationship therapist, Okoro Blessing Nkiruka (widely known as Blessing CEO), before Justice D.I. Dipeolu of the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Lagos. She faces a two-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence and stealing the sum of N36,000,000 (Thirty-Six Million Naira). During the proceedings, her defence counsel, P.I. Nwafor, informed the court that the defendant had already refunded N24 million to the petitioner. He requested a short adjournment to enable her settle the outstanding balance, noting that the nominal complainant had agreed to prevail on the EFCC to drop the case once full restitution is made. The prosecution counsel, S.I. Suleiman, however, stated that the prosecution was not privy to any settlement discussions between the defendant and the complainant, emphasizing that the complainant in the matter is the Federal Government of Nigeria. He urged the court to take the defendant’s plea. In his ruling, Justice Dipeolu held that discussions between the defence and the nominal complainant can continue even while the case is pending, but the defendant must first take her plea.
