One thing about answered prayers, they usually change you.
It’s easy to get caught up in the excitement of new opportunities that you forget those same opportunities will require more of you. More discipline, more patience, more emotional capacity.
These past few months have stretched me in intense ways. There have been moments where everything felt like too much at once, and I’ve had to remind myself that I once prayed for this level of growth and expansion.
Sometimes, the stretching, the exhaustion, and the pressure are all part of becoming someone who can sustain the very things they prayed for. 💛
Balance sounds nice in theory, but in real life, it’s a lot less perfect.
It looks like choosing one thing fully, while something else waits its turn.
There are things in your life that can bend, stretch, adjust. And there are things that can’t afford to drop. The hard part is being honest about which is which.
I’m learning that it’s okay if what I thought I’d prioritise this year isn’t what actually needed me the most.
Sometimes, balance is just being present where your life is asking for you. 💛
People think I just sit and talk all day but I wish it were that simple 😭 There’s a lot that goes into running a business, making things work, and constantly thinking about growth, structure and sustainability.
Anyways I have been wanting to record a DITL for you guys for sometime now, I hope you enjoy it. 💛
This week reminded me of something simple.
When life feels heavy, we’re always waiting for something big to shift our mood. But sometimes the lightness comes from the smallest things, dinner with a friend, a good conversation, showing up to church, stepping away from work for a moment.
Joy doesn’t always arrive, sometimes you have to create it. 💛
The other day with my fave. 💛
My sister put me onto Estée Lauder years ago, so being in the room for the relaunch of the Double Wear Foundation felt surreal.

Being a business owner will really expose what’s going on underneath. For me, it’s been recognizing how often I move from a scarcity mindset… even when I don’t call it that.
It looks like holding on tightly, being overly cautious, struggling to release control or money.
And for a while, I convinced myself it was just wisdom but I’ve had to realize that if I truly believe God provides for me then I can’t keep operating from fear. 💛
It’s interesting how we sometimes trap ourselves in an old image of who we think we are.
For a long time, I didn’t really prioritise how I looked or how I expressed myself physically. Fashion, presentation, even taking care of myself in certain ways just weren’t things I thought about deeply.
But over time that changed. I started paying attention to how I wanted to show up in the world. I started enjoying expressing myself through style, through grooming, through the little details.
And it reminded me that the version of you that exists today doesn’t have to be the final version.
You’re allowed to evolve.
You’re allowed to like new things.
You’re allowed to become someone different.
Sometimes growth is simply giving yourself permission to change. 💛
Have you ever had to reintroduce yourself to yourself?
A lot of adulthood is pretty much you deciding what your values actually are… and then choosing them in real life.
Because it’s easy to say you value your people. But it’s different when it costs you your time, energy or routine.
And most times, you’ll have a valid reason not to show up. Something else to do or somewhere else to be.
But let it be you that still chooses your values.
That shows up fully and stays. That is present in the moment, not just rushing through it.
Because over time, those choices show people what they really mean to you. 💛
