Funky Lamp

This is it. At some point in the next few days--based entirely on DistroKid's whim--"In Light of Changes" will be released. The last two months have been a fever dream (mostly from the sleeplessness and malnourishment). But it has been an experience I wouldn't trade for anything. We were fortunate to be able to work with @dansawyer1 , @ricky_lipinski , and most importantly, Greg Doyle, on this album. These all happen to be members of the two most impactful bands in Funky Lamp's upbringing, and the mark they made on this album represents the mark they've made on us. So much has happened over the course of this album that "changes" puts it lightly. But countless late nights, conversations stewed over, tough decisions, and re-recordings later, I take comfort in the feeling that we did right by the music. I hope you guys feel the same way. Black Lodge was illuminating. We are incredibly grateful for everyone that made for such a fun night: every band, audience member, friend, and, of course, the folks who graciously hosted it in the first place. Those lampshades still need to have all the sweat cleaned off, though, if anybody would like to lend a hand. Our new song, “Love You, I,” could not have had a better live debut.
