4 hours away in OāFallon, IL for Brendanās 2nd tournament with his teamāand what an experience it was! Finalist medal secured! ā½ļø
They brought home TWO wins, and Brendan showed out with 2 goals and one INSANE assist. One parent from the other team even said, āWowā¦that couldnāt have been stopped even with the best defense.ā Whew!
Iāll be honestāI didnāt know anything about soccer when Brendan first said he wanted to play (and Iām still learning š ), but watching him out there? The joy on his face, the natural talent, the way he moves that ball with his feet like itās second natureā¦ itās something special.

Today was my babyās 5th birthday. I still canāt believe sheās 5! The last of the Williams trio.
Emani is the perfect verse over a tight beat.
If you know her, you love her. Sheās genuine, kind, caring, and loving. But donāt be confusedā¦ sheās still a spicy Pisces, lbvs! Sheāll hug you tight one minute and tell you exactly how she feels the next.
Sheās wise beyond her yearsāreading at a 2nd grade level and fluently speaking 2 languages. Sometimes I look at her and wonder how God trusted me with such a special little soul.
She may be shy, but her light shines bright wherever she goes, leaving a trail of pink sparkles in her wake.
Watching her grow is one of the greatest honors of my life. Iām proud to call her my daughter, my princess, my girl.

So, my children stayed home Monday due to the cold weather and eLearning. It was funny when I asked Emani if she wanted to do eLearning with āher boysā and she happily obliged! So we gave her the IXL app for the first time. She has shown so much interest, sheās been in the app a lot since Monday.
However, I was pleasantly surprised when I received an email from IXL informing me that my 4 year old pre-schooler had completed 500 IXL Language Arts questions!
People always tell me how smart she is, but she truly continues to amaze me! Iāve come to realize the best thing we can do as parents, is step back and let them lead the way. šš
Emani received these friendship cards for Christmas and she couldnāt wait to make cards for her friends.
This was also a great way for her to practice writing her name and spelling other names.
Learning doesnāt have to be boring to be meaningful. When kids enjoy the process, confidence grows too.
