POV: my synth on a tuesday night when I can't find the source of that hum

It feels very surreal to see that all the Rained-Out Predictions cassettes we made are already gone. All orders will be shipped this week, and some copies will soon be available in (my favorite) record stores, I'll share the info! Thank you so much for listening to these tracks. You can find a digital copy on @isohyet_ bandcamp and listen to it on most platforms (except Spotify). Not sure when (and if!) we will make more, but prints of the 🦋 drawing are on the way. It is one of my largest drawing so far (I still can't scan it properly, last picture is a bad photo!), and it was not at all intended to be an album cover. I remember being so completly relaxed and at peace when drawing this.

My new album was released a few days ago. The whole process of finishing this thing was really slow, but it turned out to be a very interesting exercise in decanting the craziness of life over the past few years. It is a bit weird and chaotic, but so is everything. Cassettes and digital available on Isohyet's bandcamp. Send me a DM if you’d like to trade a cassette! "[...] In my usual process of wanting to create useless soundtracks for nonexistent moments, every track started with a specific catastrophic vision: What would I play if I were witnessing a library heist? How would an apocalyptic rainfall of absurd-looking frogs sound on the windshield of a car? What music would giant ants be thinking about while building their organized architectures everywhere on Earth after societal collapse? What would happen if we all stopped running to catch the bus to work and just went to watch the sunrise instead? These tracks were made both in a hurry and extremely slowly, in an attempt to smooth out the current taste of apathy within these visions into an uplifting energy. Figuring out the hidden story might be irrelevant."

IHT008 | Fumerolles - Rained-Out Predictions Rained-Out Predictions is a collection of compositions made for live events between 2022 and 2025, using mostly the same system: a box of DIY modules, a Digitone, and some effects pedals. Recorded at home afterwards, this version of the previously performed tracks was kept half improvised, half predicted, punctuated with additional arrangements, but always with the idea of keeping it simple and shaky. This will be followed by the collagist avant-rock improvisations of 1/4 Tonne, featuring Eric Craven on drums, Nick Kuepfer on guitar and reel to reel, and Mark Molnar on cello and electronics. The evening will culminate with the hypnotic psychedelic excursions of Some Became Hollow Tubes, featuring Eric Quach from thisquietarmy on guitar and effects and Aidan Girt from Godspeed You! Black Emperor and Exhaust on drums. There will be chocolate, colouring sheets, and giveaways. And an exciting surprise at the end... 🐣 Advance tickets available for 15$ + fees. 20$ at the door. Just his face, classic smile, sharp eyes, out of the blue, appearing in my mind. He made me turn my gaze toward the cinema for no reason. Hidden in the shadow of the big entrance doors, a guy in finance bro clothes was doing some unusual stretching moves, looking at me with the weirdest expression and the exact intensity of a Lynch character. Perte de Signal est fier de présenter ÉPOCHÈ, une série de trois performances au rustines_Lab dans le cadre de la Rentrée de Gaspé Hivernale 2026, le 16 janvier 2026, avec les artistes Fumerolles, .618 et ebb. Cette série explore l’Épochè comme acte radical d’écoute: suspendre la signification habituelle du monde pour revenir à l’expérience pure. Chaque performance propose une manière différente de défaire nos automatismes perceptifs, de ralentir le flux du sens et d’ouvrir des espaces où le son n’explique rien mais révèle des strates sensibles normalement invisibles.
