Went for the boys…. but ended up loving it too??? One of my 2026 goals is to have more intentional time with the kids, because life is going TOO fast and evenings after work are always full of just one more thing. Every. Single. Day. Being invited to The Boldly Game at The National Space Centre today was THE perfect excuse to slow down and be more present (little did I know I’d be happy to sit and design a board game with the boys for 45 minutes or watch Bobby played an unreleased bald yeti game - Ronnie’s game is called Shoes and Laces, I’ll let you guess the rules) And if anyone else has any suggestions of traditions, outings like this that are a little different than the rest, or places we’re missing out on then holllllllaaaaa. 📍next stop - @reroll_boardgamecafe for half term fun 🎲👾 Ad | PR visit.

📍To Boldy Game, National Space Centre We had a fantastic time today at To Boldly Game at the National Space Centre! 🚀🎲 The whole place was buzzing with excitement and it felt really welcoming for all families. There were loads of board games and roleplaying games to try, many with cool space & science themes. We loved that there was plenty of chances to just sit down and play together as a family. Whether you’re brand new to games or already love them it is such a great event and we had a great time! We loved that games were surrounded by rockets and space exhibits so we got the chance to switch between activities. The kids especially loved exploring the different play areas, watching RPG sessions and seeing all the creative hobby bits going on - Kai loved the 3D printing machines ⚙️ If you have an Annual Pass it doesn’t cost anything extra which makes it a brilliant, cost effective day out. Overall, we found it to be a fun-filled event that mixes games, learning and imagination perfectly.
