Im back home feeling fully inspired and creative again! The start to the year I definitely needed 🙏🏼✨️
Back in Dublin for four days of training, conversation and continuing a partnership that’s been building for over a decade.
What makes this one special is the consistency. From the early days working alongside frontline practitioners on the streets, to now delivering in partnership with Ballymun Drugs and Alcohol Task Force, the work continues to evolve but the purpose remains the same.
Across the sessions, we explored serious youth violence, violence reduction and public health approaches, alongside conversations around social media, music and organised criminality. Drawing on research and frontline experience, the focus was on helping professionals make sense of what they are seeing and how they can respond effectively.
Good to reconnect with familiar faces. People who were there at the beginning, still present, still committed and still doing the real work within their communities.
Respect to the Task Force for hosting and bringing together professionals across education, children’s services, criminal justice, youth and community sectors.
Four days. Real conversations. Real learning.

Had an amazing 3 days in Dublin capturing some content for @solve_cyvc in one of their training programmes presented by @streetacademicsuk .

Dublin has always been one of my favourite places to visit and what made it even better was seeing my cousin @mac_gingerred down there for a quick catch up and filming a 'Tastebud Tuesdays'.

Joshua Lewis won the Stoppage of the Night Bonus, and to be honest, it's easy to see why. Quick, hard, and precise haymakers to the liver doubled up with some outrageous knees to the cranium was enough to put a halt to this British Title fight.
You can tell that attacking the body was a part of his game plan because he looked for that shot from the offset and found it almost instantly.
We'll be catching up with Joshua to watch this brutal KO back and get his thoughts on it and to find out what he was thinking whilst it was happening.
