Fern Drive Elementary’s final “Read with a Loved One” event of the year brought students and families together to share stories, build literacy skills and create lasting memories.
Now in its first year, the monthly tradition has become a special way for families to slow down, connect and help foster a lifelong love of reading — one story at a time.

Last week’s District English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC) celebration was a reminder of the power of family engagement and community support 💙
Through DELAC, Fullerton School District families learn about programs, resources and services that support multilingual learners while building stronger connections with schools and the District. This year, parents explored topics including student wellness, academic progress and community resources — all with the shared goal of helping students thrive.

🚓🔍 This week, Parks Junior High students got a hands-on look at careers in forensic science thanks to a visit from the Fullerton Police Department and Fullerton College’s Administration of Justice Department!
As part of our growing Career Technical Education (CTE) partnership with Fullerton College, Parks students in the Forensics class explored a CSI Van, learned about professional forensic equipment and applied the investigative skills they’ve been learning in class.
Parks’ Forensics class is a semester-long, lab-based course where students explore the science behind crime scene investigations. From fingerprint analysis to blood spatter patterns, Parks students are connecting classroom learning to real-world career pathways in science and criminal justice.

What a memorable celebration at Parks Junior High School! ✂️🎉 Students, families, staff, elected officials and community members came together on May 7 to celebrate the grand opening and ribbon-cutting of the school’s new Arts and Recreation Center (ARC) — a vibrant new space for athletics, performances and community events.
Made possible through Measure N, the 10,000-square-foot facility features full-size basketball and volleyball courts, spectator seating and a performance stage with professional lighting and sound — all designed to inspire creativity, collaboration and connection for generations of students to come.
