Repost: This is a portion of our very first TV interview. It was given to us by @videomusicbox Ralph McDaniels, aka Uncle Ralph. We didn't know a lot back then, but many lessons were learned along the way. We are proud of what we were able to accomplish together as we still continue to build! #FUBU #forusbyus

@fubu "For Us, By Us" – More than a brand, a movement ☝🏽 FUBU wasn't just a clothing line; it was the cultural manifesto that changed the game in streetwear. Founded in 1992 by Daymond John along with his friends J. Alexander Martin, Keith Perrin, and Carlton Brown, the brand was born in a Queens dorm room with an initial investment of just $40 and a clear purpose: to reclaim the sovereignty of African American style. Key Points of its Greatness and Influence Identity and Ownership: Its name, an acronym for "For Us, By Us," challenged luxury brands that profited from hip-hop culture without truly representing their community. Guerrilla Marketing and Alliances: The peak of its influence occurred when @llcoolj wore a FUBU hat in a Gap commercial and uttered the rhyme "For Us, By Us", masterfully and for free introducing the brand into the mainstream. Global Dominance: At its peak in the late 1990s, FUBU generated over $6 billion in annual sales, proving that streetwear was a massive and profitable business worldwide. Fashion Legacy: It paved the way for other Black celebrity and designer brands (such as Sean John and Rocawear), establishing the standard that urban culture should own its own commercial narrative. The Cultural Impact "FUBU didn't just sell clothes; it sold pride. It was the first time the neighborhood consumer saw themselves reflected in both the design and the company's board of directors." Today, FUBU is remembered as the pioneer of modern streetwear , transforming sportswear and baggy silhouettes into symbols of status and business success that still resonate on today's high fashion runways. - Mr. @raimonluna ✍️🏿

A “real @nyknicks fan” in the eyes of born-and-raised New Yorkers is defined less by wins and losses and more by loyalty, resilience, and cultural connection—sticking with the team through decades of heartbreak, celebrating rare highs or playoff runs, and embracing the Knicks as part of New York’s identity. It’s about enduring the pain, showing up at Madison Square Garden, and living the Knicks as a symbol of the city itself. We welcome new fans but we Celebrate the fans who have stuck with our Knicks for better and for worse. Go New York!! #FUBU #ForUsByUs #knicks
