An artistic collaboration between Creative Director @danielroseberry and artist @ftaylorc The daybed, “One Long as Twenty”, and the chairs, “Throne for Queen-Moon”, are crafted in sealed, un-patinated raw bronze and hand-embroidered in corded silk with gilded leather appliqués. The works are on view by appointment in the salons at 21 Place Vendôme. #Schiaparelli

Depictions of the emperor Hadrian are authenticated in part based upon whether his characteristic earlobe creases are present. Some studies correlate these creases, called Frank’s Sign, with an elevated risk for genetic heart conditions, one of which is believed to have afflicted Hadrian for much of the last two decades of his life, eventually killing him in the year 138AD at 62 years old. It is said that Hadrian never recovered from the heartbreak of the mysterious drowning death of his beloved Antinous in the Nile in 130AD, and some even conjecture that Antinous’s death was a voluntary sacrifice that the boy undertook in an attempt to restore the health of Hadrian’s heart. Among one other notable characteristic that I share with Hadrian, I also have Frank’s Sign. This is a bronze moth mask depicting our imperial, tender-hearted ears 👂🏻🫀 💔 Portrait bust courtesy of @britishmuseum

Il Buon Tempo Verrà, five patinated bronze stools, representing the five members of my family, linked together but made to separate, to disperse, and to reconnect 🥲🐛The good times will come. Tomorrow, Saturday, is the last day to see Cosmia at Palais-Royal

Cocoon Nebula ✨ Nebulae are the cocoons of the cosmos, providing the necessary elements and conditions for the metamorphosis of stars. This one is massive, but composed of nanoscopic studio ‘stardust’, particles which are collected and conserved throughout the polishing process of all of the other 13 works in COSMIA, including 8kg of bronze filings. We made stalactites in fused and cast colored glass to resemble ancient pond ice, and a bronze chain sculpted to look like laurel leaves, which were burned in Roman times to predict the future in a process called Daphnomancy 🌿🔥
