Today, the Florida State University community came together to honor the lives lost and all those impacted by the April 17 tragedy one year later.
FSU President Richard McCullough, First Lady Jai Vartikar, FSU Board of Trustees Chair Peter Collins, Jennifer Collins, Student Body President Carson Dale and former FSU Faculty Senate President Bridgett Birmingham lit a torch near the FSU Student Union in remembrance.
At noon, the FSU community paused for a moment of silence. The Student Government Association also hosted a space for reflection on Legacy Walk, where flowers and messages of hope were placed on the FSU letters.
Resources for students, faculty and staff are available at response.fsu.edu.
The FSU community will be remembering and reflecting on Legacy Walk this Friday, April 17th. Join us from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. as we write notes and spend time united. SGA will be providing free flowers. #fsustrong
