Fruiting Body photographed in Taiwan by its new owner @titwillo . What a stunning collection, and the pockets got to return home for the first time after becoming a puffed sleeves shirt. đź’™

Terry cloth flower The red thread is a concept in Chinese mythology that people are linked by invisible red lines and they represent our connections and fate lines, some are only supposed to be there for a season, and some, through life times. I am beyond excited to share these photos with you and let you know our first drop for Fruiting Body Upcycle is coming on Feb 17th! Our story began with me admiring @_sweet_tea_rex_ ’s ability to create anything from scratch, especially with fabrics, ( 🗣️she is an incredible seamstress!) we started dreaming up these garment that tickle our fancy and how we can create them without adding more to this world of excess waste. Fast forward I am back in Taipei for my annual homecoming, in the Yung Le fabric market we found this auntie who has been in embroidery for decades and had seen the industry’s rise and fall. It became clear that including local Taiwanese craftsmanship in this project is an essential ingredient. With true slow fashion ethos, we took our time to find the right shirts and when inspiration strikes, just like fungi when the conditions are right, each of these pieces came into being of their own fruiting bodies! @linusswampmonster took these fabulous photos of lil ol’ me and I can’t wait to see you in these one of a kind pieces! More to come, stay tuned!
