First harvest of African Mangosteen (Imbe / Garcinia livingstonei) from my farm 🤯🧡
This rare fruit is in the mangosteen family and has a sweet tart flavor that almost tastes like tropical candy when perfectly ripe.
One really interesting thing about Imbe is that you need BOTH a male and female tree to produce fruit… so finally seeing these trees fruit for the first time feels extra rewarding 🌱✨
It’s definitely not a fruit with tons of flesh, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in flavor, rarity, and beauty.
Watching my friends experience this fruit for the first time made it even better 😂🔥
Rare fruits are not always about perfection… sometimes they’re about discovery, biodiversity, and experiencing flavors almost nobody gets to try.
Would you plant a tree like this even if the fruit was small? 🤔💭

The GOLDEN GIANT has officially entered the chat… 🌞👑🔥
I genuinely think I may have discovered a brand new White Sapote variety… and this thing looks almost TOO unreal to be real 😳
Most white sapotes have pale cream colored flesh…
But THIS ONE?!
Deep rich golden flesh like tropical custard sunshine 🥭☀️✨
The color alone instantly stopped me in my tracks.
Then I tasted it… 🤯
SUPER sweet
Ultra juicy
Nearly zero bitterness
And one of the craziest seed to flesh ratios I’ve ever seen on a white sapote.
This fruit is THICK with edible flesh 😮💨🌳
Compared to the original FruitHunters White Sapote variety… this new one is dramatically larger and way more golden inside.
Even my friend Xaine — who has seen countless rare fruits — could barely believe his eyes when he opened it 😂🔥
So officially…
I’m calling this selection:
✨ GOLDEN GIANT ✨
A true monster white sapote with glowing golden flesh and next level flavor.
I’ll be propagating this tree and releasing grafted trees + fruit very soon 👀🌱
THIS is why rare fruit hunting is so addictive…
Sometimes nature drops something legendary out of nowhere. 🤝

Started these trees from SEED…
and now they’re dropping giant fluffy candy pods from the sky 😂🌱
Ice Cream Bean aka one of the wildest tropical fruits ever.
Crack open the pod and inside is this soft fluffy white pulp that tastes like vanilla marshmallow cream mixed with sugarcane and clouds ☁️🤍
No joke… the texture trips people out every single time.
These trees grow FAST, create amazing shade, feed the soil, and pump out massive pods once established. One of the ultimate tropical homestead trees in my opinion 🌳✨
Something feels deeply satisfying about harvesting fruit from trees you planted as tiny little seeds years ago… now they’re towering over me producing abundance.
This is the magic of growing your own food 🐒🍃
Who here has tried Ice Cream Bean before?! 🤔💭

The future of plant milk is growing on trees 🌿🥛✨
This wasn’t made in a factory…
it was made fresh with raw sprouted walnuts, sweet Roxburgh figs straight from the tree, and young jelly coconut water 🤯
The flavor?
Creamy… berry-like… wildly fresh… almost impossible to compare to store bought milk once you taste it.
No gums.
No fillers.
No mystery oils.
Just real ingredients blended into something alive ⚡️
The Roxburgh fig gives this milk such a unique tropical depth with subtle honey / fig notes that pair perfectly with the richness of sprouted walnuts 🌳
Making your own fresh plant milk at home is one of the easiest ways to elevate your nutrition and your taste buds at the same time.

A fully WHITE Annona reticulata growing on the farm 🤍🌿
Most people have seen the red or pink custard apples… but this one is completely different.
The flesh is ultra pale, incredibly dense, creamy and rich with a deeper custard flavor and less of the berry notes the red types usually carry 👀
Almost like vanilla pudding crossed with tropical cream 🍨🥥
One fruit and you immediately understand why annonas are some of the most loved fruits on earth. Soft, satisfying, fragrant and unbelievably filling straight from the tree 🌳
Growing rare genetics like this is one of my favorite parts of farming… every tree has its own personality, flavor profile and energy.
Would you try the white variety over the classic red/pink one? 🤔💭

I’ve tasted a LOT of white sapotes…
but this one honestly shocked me. 🤯🌿
Absolutely massive fruit… larger than any white sapote I’ve ever seen in my life. Heavy, dense, ultra juicy and unbelievably sweet.
And the craziest part?
ZERO bitterness.
Many white sapotes can have that slight bitter aftertaste near the skin or seeds… but this tree produced pure creamy sweetness from start to finish. 🥛🍈✨
To make things even more exciting…
this tree is also a HEAVY producer. Loaded with giant fruits.
Now I’m sharing this with other fruit experts to figure out if this is already a known cultivar… and if it’s not… I may have the honor of naming and cloning this legendary tree myself. 👀🌳
This could potentially become one of the greatest white sapotes for backyard growers and collectors alike.
The hunt for elite fruit genetics never ends 🔥
Would YOU plant a giant zero-bitter white sapote tree? 🤔💭

This is Cecropia — a legendary tropical tree that grows wild and abundantly in places like Costa Rica, where it becomes a true life-giving tree for the ecosystem.
Its fruits feed monkeys, sloths, birds, bats… and yes, humans too. When these trees are loaded, they become a living buffet in the rainforest. Animals know exactly when it’s time 🌴
Fast growing, beautiful, and deeply generous… Cecropia helps create shade, habitat, and food all at once.
I grow a delicious variety that produces large edible fruits with sweet fig-like notes, light honey vibes, and a fun texture that makes it one of the most underrated fruits in the tropics.
Some call it gummy worm fruit… but this tree is much more than a nickname. It’s a symbol of abundance.
When you plant certain trees… you’re feeding far more than yourself 🌿
Would you try fresh Cecropia straight from the tree? 🤔💭

Take a closer look at pineapple, from farm to glass.
Sal of @fruithuntersco is back in South Florida, visiting longtime organic farmer Gary Avins of @angelorganicfarm . What started with a few pineapple plants has grown into a thriving farm, expanding season by season.
From its bright, juicy flavor to its natural digestive enzymes, watch as they explore what makes pineapple so special and the simple ways to use it, from fresh juice to a quick sorbet.
Rooted in flavor, function, and the land it comes from, this is a simple reminder of how much can come from a single fruit.
Tiger nut milk… but upgraded. 🥥✨
Most tiger nut milk can come out gritty… not this one.
I blended tiger nuts with fresh coconut meat + coconut water and the result was ultra creamy, smooth, rich, and naturally sweet.
No gums.
No fillers.
No mystery ingredients.
Just real ingredients transformed into something better than store bought.

Know Thy Fruit with Stephen Brooks… and today’s mystery is Kepel 🌿🍈
Also known as Stelechocarpus burahol, this rare fruit is native to Indonesia and has been treasured for centuries. Historically it was associated with royalty and said to leave the body with a sweet floral aroma after eating it 👑✨
The flavor? Soft, fragrant, exotic… with notes often compared to mango, melon, and perfume-like tropical custard. Definitely one of those fruits that feels more like an experience than just a snack.
Moments like this remind me there are still so many hidden treasures growing on Earth.
Would you try Kepel if you had the chance? 🤔💭

This is NOT your average coconut milk… 🥥✨
Tree → blend → crème de la crème.
No cans. No gums. No shortcuts.
I cracked open a fresh coconut, blended it with its own water…
and ran it through the Nama M1 Plant-Based Milk Maker
The result?
Thick… silky… naturally sweet…
like drinking coconut cream straight from the source 🤍🥥
