Magic and metal go hand in hand and that’s no surprise but tonight in Lawrence Ks we did something special to celebrate the new @wizards_magic set Secrets of Strixhaven! We brought out the mighty PAPA MEAT to throw out a booster box of packs with us for people to play magic in the pit! #Metal #mtg #magicthegathering #mtgcommunity #frozensoul
Just a much needed little something to take the edge off, what’s your best pull from the new @wizards_magic set Secrets of Strixhaven so far? #Mtg #metal #magicthegathering #frozensoul #packopening
I’ve never opened a @wizards_magic Fallen Empires pack before, so since a friend brought me one in Philly I decided to crack it right before we went on stage! #Mtg #magicthegathering #metal #packopening #frozensoul
Now that the records out I feel such a weight lifted off my shoulders but still I find myself wanting to be back in midland Michigan at the studio and that Airbnb working relentlessly on new stuff, scared but invigorated by the pressure.
We had tons of support for this record, nat sent me a little care package with some pictures to keep my spirits up too and that made things even better. We were lucky our families, management and label were all behind us on it. We truly had such a great time! It was amazing working with Josh and I feel like this is the best frozen soul record yet. I’m looking forward to the next one!
Our days would start with Matt and I going to the gym before our 8 hour day in the studio, Mike cooking breakfast and everyone talking about what ideas they came up with! We would hit the studio and then went back to the Airbnb to write and work on material down in the basement. There were days I walked 10 miles just listening to the songs over and over again writing lyrics that felt right to me. Once it got time for vocals Josh and I spent a ton of time making sure things were catchy and fun! On off days I hit the movies, visited some card stores and overall had a great time! This whole experience was a very special moment in our lives and I’m so stoked we finally got to share it with everyone.
Also a funny story, one day I went to go take a shower and noticed that my soap had a huge bite taken out of it. I showed everyone and they swore up and down no one in the house did it. Tell me that doesn’t look like the most cartoon as bite taken out of my bar of soap lol. Still haven’t figured it out, it was a brand new bar I had only used once before, no water drips or anything that could have caused that. After that we made sure to lock the doors lol.
What are your favorite songs? Some of mine are Ethereal Dreams, Invoke War, Eyes of Despair and Frost Forged!
I’ll probably make some videos on why I love each song on this record, and give a little insight into what they’re about!
The latest onslaught from the gentle human beings in @frozensoultx arrived at my crip recently.
They deliver a highly precise record that forgoes any gimmicks and focuses solely on maximum impact.
Love it!

Happy Mother’s Day baby. Raising Logi with you has been such an amazing experience, and I’ve learned so much from you along the way. The way you’re always so selfless, understanding, and patient is incredible. No matter what’s going on, you always make sure Logi never has to worry and just gets to be a kid while still learning kindness and love.
I love you so incredibly much, and I love learning and growing through life with you. I hope you have the best day today.
No Place of Warmth, our third full-length record, is out today, and it just so happens to be on my birthday!
Along with it comes one of the coolest videos we’ve ever done with Brendan, for one of our favorite songs on the record, “Chaos Will Reign,” which also happens to be a prequel to the “Morbid Effigy” video.
We pushed ourselves hard on this one to not only make the heaviest and most fun Frozen Soul record yet, but also write something that can be used to motivate and empower whoever listens when they need it the most! We couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.
Huge thank you our families for standing behind us and to our brother Josh Schroeder for getting in the trenches with us, pushing us past our limits, and helping craft this monster of a record. Big thank you as well to James Bousema for creating the perfect artwork to bring this era of the band to life.
And of course, special thanks to Gerard Way, Robb Flynn, and Devin Swank for being part of this record with us.
Thank you to our managers James and Sal, our booking agents Tim, Eric, and Marco, Mike Gitter, Sonia and Century Media Records, and all of you for always supporting us and pushing us to be the best we can be.
We love you all and hope you enjoy No Place of Warmth.
Dedicated to Cory Green, Jan Warrick, Wayne Addington, James Lollar, and Olan Martin

Texas death-metal die-hards @frozensoultx have released their bone-chilling new album, 'No Place of Warmth,' and vocalist @frozenchad gave @revolvermag a track-by-track breakdown.
"No Place of Warmth" (Feat. Gerard Way)
"It's about life at its coldest, and the choice you have — whether to let it consume you or find warmth in a world that feels completely void of it. Life is always coming at you and death never stops, so you have to make the most of what you have and keep moving forward.
"This track features Gerard Way of My Chemical Romance — we met a couple of years ago and have become friends over time. I knew he had a love for metal, so I threw the idea out there about him being part of a Frozen Soul track, and he was immediately into it."
"Invoke War" (Feat. Machine Head)
"This is the follow-up to [2023 Frozen Soul song] 'Arsenal of War.' While “Arsenal” was about remembering and carrying the light and memories of a loved one with you, this one shifts into something heavier. It features our friend — and someone we've looked up to for a long time — Robb Flynn of Machine Head.
"This song is about pain and anger. It's about the struggle with rumination, the constant urge to cast blame for things that were truly out of your control. It's a journey through the thoughts that don't let up, the 'what ifs,' and the feeling that maybe, somehow, things could have gone differently if the cards had just fallen another way."
"Chaos Will Reign"
It's a fun, heavy track about that moment where you're done taking shit from anyone.
"This one might be the coolest video we've ever done, and it kind of became a prequel to the 'Morbid Effigy' video by accident. I wanted to keep that same twist-ending style we used in 'Morbid' as an ode to the old-school horror and sci-fi thrillers I've always loved."
