Start your batch of cold brew at home for the week! Here's a quick step by step cold brew coffee method using the @oxo Compact Cold Brew Maker. (or try our cold brew concentrate! 😉) Step 1: Weigh 170g of Frothy Monkey Cold Brew Coffee and grind on a coarse setting. Step 2: Pour ground coffee into the brewing chamber. Step 3: Gently pour 29 fl oz of filtered water over your grounds. Use the rainmaker lid to evenly distribute water. Once finished, use a spoon to push any remaining dry grounds below the surface. Step 4: Place the lid on your brewer and let the coffee steep for 12 to 24 hours at room temperature. Step 5: Remove the cork from your glass carafe, and place your brewer on top. This engages the release valve on the bottom of the brewer and coffee will filter into the carafe. Finished! Now you have a cold brew concentrate that will last up to two weeks in the refrigerator. We recommend cutting this concentrate with a 1:2 ratio of coffee to water. A jammy light roast straight from Kayanza 🍇 The Kibingo washing station draws from 1,739 smallholder farmers across eighteen hills in northern Burundi. These are heritage Red Bourbon trees, many over 50 years old, grown in volcanic soil at 1,700 to 1,900 meters near the Rwanda border. Most farmers tend around 250 trees, harvesting almost entirely by hand with their families. Greenco has managed Kibingo since 2015 with an incredibly tight, traceable washed process. Cherries are floated and sorted on arrival, pulped within 6 hours, and fermented in stream water with trained agronomist oversight. Every lot carries a tag from the fermentation tank straight to the drying table. The result is a cup that leads with Concord grape juice. It’s a jammy sweetness that settles into cacao and brown sugar. Expect a round, juicy body with a soft, gentle acidity. It’s balanced and genuinely easy to drink.
