Bought this dizzy and jado record a few weeks back, and both sides are equally good groovers. Don’t think it will leave my bag anytime soon. dizzy and jado - funk in tha trunk italojohnson - untitled [itj 07]

Some snippets from my set at @vinylfarm.eu two weeks ago :) brought my favourite wax to play a set I’m very happy with. Full set is on their YouTube channel, link is in my bio so go check it out! Such an inspiring place and the people running it have so much passion and dedication, definitely recommend stopping by! :)

Been busy digging lately and I can’t waittt to play some of that newly found wax in the coming weeks :) very excited for each of these 12/04 @bosscheboiler x @vinylville.nl 17/04 @vinylfarm.eu 09/05 @defluffdisco at @rhythm_nl stage It’s sad that the first track in this vid is so short and that it always requires a quick mix, because I really do like it. da players - the freek [evil edit] manuel tur vs. mario fabriani - donuts and milk

Thought it was about time I shared some recently found music, so I recorded my first vinyl mix. It’s full of tunes I’m really digging at the moment. It definitely took me quite some time to get to a level where I’m satisfied with mixing vinyl, but after about half a year I think I’m getting there. I’m happy with the result, and to finally be able to put something out there again :) Decided to finish the mix with an 11:30-minute track because it had me hooked when I heard it, and I think they need more appreciation. Unfortunately the audio got cut off about 8 minutes early, so I had to edit that in later. Uploaded it to both Youtube and Soundcloud. Both links are in my bio. Full track list in the description there :)

When I receive a new order I check the records out by playing them all in one session, which always results in fun surprises and combinations. Bought the record I’m mixing in for the dub version but decided to check out the vocal mix here and I might like it more. The melody is lovely as well (skip to 1:30 if you’re curious). happy larry’s big beat orchestra - love is addictive jaime moralez - whatcha doin’? [enuff vocal]

The first record is actually one of the first records I bought at a local shop quite some years ago :) It’s been sitting in my collection without nearly getting enough love, because I didn’t really spin vinyl back then. The second one I bought more recently, and I can’t get over the crazy bassline. Lately I’ve also been trying to keep myself from touching the records too much by mostly using the pitch fader while mixing, and I feel like it definitely paid off in way cleaner mixes.

I played my first vinyl set at @houtbaar_haarlem two weeks ago, which is something that I set as a goal for myself somewhere earlier this year. It was a really fun, but also humbling experience. Not everything went down as planned but I definitely learned a lot. I can say for sure that there's room for improvement on organising my records while playing 😭 (pile of sadness on last slide🥀) Thanks for inviting me @funkyforest.fm :)

Still working on not over-adjusting so much on vinyl. Really had to get used to that, but I feel like we’re getting somewhere. Actually bought the first record in this video from @dubsharkrecords for another track, but ended up loving it for this one 😋 1. MB Company - La Passion (Seashore Mix) 2. DJ Sneak - They have not lived (Jason Hodges Remix)
