These apps and sites basically run my business. There are plenty more but these are the ones that I think helped me get to where I am.

Taking photos that nobody does is sometimes just about paying attention to the subject and not the light. This one is a bit longer than my others but I wanted to give you some insight into my thoughts whilst shooting this @yaku.____ show and how I was able to get a shot I'm proud of.

Reason 1
I was making enough from my work as a side gig to cover expenses. Not enough to do much else, but I decided the risk was worth the reward. This is an element that is unavailable when making the decision to stay on at a job or leave and build.
Reason 2
I wanted to build my own thing. I have always wanted to, it was almost inevitable that I was going to make this jump at some point. I had built it up as far as I could whilst still being employed in-house. Deciding to take it on in this way, was a decision to prioritize my goals and pursue something I have wanted for as long as I have been taking photos.
Reason 3
After spending years in photography roles I had learned a lot about how things are done in a professional setting and what the standards of the industry are. This has given me confidence in my abilities and helped me produce work at a high level

I have always waited and made a bigger upgrade later on, I think this is because I am happy with the gear I use. This upgrade has made a massive difference in all the right places. But the familiar feel of the 5D is not lost upgrading to the R5.
