A few weeks ago, we got the privilege to be in attendance for Eric Penn’s “Start The Journey With Us” at The Annex in Norfolk. Gratefully, we got the opportunity to sit down and have small conversations with the featured artists at that show. In the first edition of our four-part miniseries, we sat down with Portsmouth artist @jessebooneiv . In our conversation, we spoke about growth as an artist, making way in New York, and his latest EP ‘Silhouette’. Episode live now in the link in our bio.

Developing a menu isn’t easy, but once @lcdfoodie locked it in, he gave his team the freedom to get creative in the kitchen at Yorkies. That freedom not only keeps the workplace fun and full of fresh ideas but also gives his staff an initiative, a chance to take pride in what they make and put their own flavor into every meal. We caught up with @lcdfoodie at the @homegrownharvestfestival on a sunny day in Franklin. Kip brought along a group of passionate young culinary minds from Hampton Roads to take part in a day centered around food, learning, and community. Veteran culinary specialists were also in attendance, sharing their craft and serving up their very own dishes. The festival’s mission is to promote the sustainability of Virginia’s farms, food, and culinary arts by fostering community engagement that educates, celebrates, and supports the Commonwealth’s rich cultural and agricultural heritage.
