Hi there! Iām Kristel, and I figured I would make a special page to document my knitting adventures (& other creations). I started knitting on April 2024, motivated by the idea of making my own garments and inspired by knitfluencers who have made such amazing knitted items. I instantly fell in love with this craft, and now I canāt stop!!!
I named this account āFrom the Lambā for 2 reasons: 1. From the simplest of joys in knitting/creating to the greatest blessing of life itselfāeternal and on earthā all are gifts from the Lamb of God. I am so very grateful to experience this. 2. My favorite animal is sheep. And I think itās kind of neat to be able to create things with wool that come from sheep/lamb sometimes! šš§¶ (But I also like alpacas, goats, cows.. most farm animals really š¤·āāļø)

@babaa cardigan no 23 inspired but more feminine with the balloon sleeve and sleeve pleat details, which I think is more my style. Still debating whether to add patch pockets or not.
Regardless, isnāt it so magical that knitting lets us draw inspiration from RTW and creative pattern designers, then gives us the freedom to recreate a piece AND the power to make it feel more āmeā?! š„¹āØ

My matcha obsession peaked this year, so itās sweet to round out the end of this year with this slipover!
I believe this is the first piece in which I made extensive modifications (relative to my previous projects). I changed the collar, shoulder width, back panel length, the width of the ties, and bind off techniques! And although itās not perfect, Iām pretty proud of myself that I have come so far in this knitting journey that Iām now comfortable to modify! Eeep!!! š„¹š

Truly the knitting community here in the Bay Area is 10/10. I enjoyed myself a little too much and took way too few pictures during the KALās celebration in @hiddenvilla lol, but pls enjoy the videos of Hidden Villaās farm animals.
Photo is of the sweater pre-blocked. It grew a lot after blocking and I have no idea how to style it yet since itās so oversized, hence no post-blocked pics. Might post an update once the weather cools down and I actually wear it out!

Inspired by Sezaneās Samuel Jumper in the color bronze, I set out to make this slipover. Though itās a little thicker than Sezaneās, I thought I came pretty close!
This piece was made while I was recovering from a shoulder injury from work, so I canāt help but think of workerās comp, weight restrictions, PT sessions, and modified work duty whenever I see it. Nonetheless, I discovered how much blocking can transform the drape of the fabric; the last photo is of it pre-blocking. The challenge now, though, is how to style it - taking any and all suggestions!

Top 2! The final product wasnāt quite a home run for me, and the yarn wasnāt exactly a joy to work with. Iād definitely make some adjustments and changes if I were to make this again. That said, I do have fond memories of building up the courage/shamelessness to knit in public with this piece. The side-eye from the lady doing my pedicure is especially seared in my brain.
