Two from Capers, three from Masters week and five from Cumberland. All yall are welcome but you gotta act right!
Sorry about the mix bag of camera quality here. Spring is beautiful!
I learned about marsh hummocks at work recently. These often circular shaped “islands” in tidal marshes are a forested high ground refuge for plants and animals. Live Oaks and hard woods can call it home while they’re only a few inches higher than high tide events. Eventually they subside and disappear as the landscape changes
My rolls of film got lost in the mail without a tracking number. The surprise of them being found and after development getting to see moments we had forgotten about is so fun!
Looking at elk outside of the house, cards + waffles for lunch, a hand knit beanie for Christmas by a friend I used to live across town from, & admiring the way a natural hot spring paints the soil
Some settings for memorable meals recently.
Chorizo paella over fire on the Edisto, Burger picnic overlooking the Ruby, Pizza’s on No Name, Hibachi on the marsh, and baked ziti and steaks with a side of ice bath before the Ironman <3
10/10 day outside w/ friends and goats
My friend Ethan made a superfood smoothie mix called @e.patrol & i think it’s really good!! Even better while listening to The Bee Gees. Be sure to mix it up better than I did. A bounty of nerd clusters were also consumed :-)
Some of my favorite film photos from fly fishing this summer and fall. No particular order - The first one is of me! Rest are of friends in SC and MT. No fish are photographed so up to you to decide if we caught anything ;)
