Opening reception at The IW Gallery for Elijah Stone Edwards’ first solo exhibition, Friends of the Program.
A gathering shaped by presence and recognition, where photography became both archive and encounter. Many of those pictured in the works were in the room; others arrived through shared memory, proximity, and association.
The images hold a quiet social field: moments with family, friends, and collaborators suspended as evidence of connection rather than documentation. Seen together, they form a collective portrait built through everyday intimacy, where inclusion and absence coexist without hierarchy.
The evening unfolded as a communal reading of the work itself: images returning to the people who gave them life, and viewers recognizing themselves within a broader circle of relation.
