our bird walk with @queerbirders and @friendsof4parks was a big hit!! 15 people arrived and found 19 species of birds in just an hour. highlights included a secretive prairie warbler (pictured here), an american redstart, a yellow-rumped warbler, and a black-and-white warbler (also pictured).
thanks so much to Nina for helping organize the event and running the clean up afterwards! we got tons of trash out of the park and used up every bucket :)))

join @queerbirders and @friendsof4parks for a combo bird walk / park clean up at franz sigel park in the bronx with leo wexler-mann! spring migration is here and there are lots of fun birds to be found in our small pocket parks.
9am meet at the park entrance just south of E 158th Street and Grand Concourse to bird, then 10am-12pm park clean up.
accessible by public transport 4/D trains at 161 St - Yankee Stadium and 2/4/5 trains at 149 St - Grand Concourse, as well as the Bx6 and Bx13 bus.
clean up supplies provided! bring water and snacks!
